Winter is gray, and up here in the northeastern US we don't see much of the sun. These lake photos were taken at about 1pm on a gray, but warm (30 degree) day. It doesn't even rise high enough to come over the trees in my yard. It seems to just skirt the horizon and then it's gone...at 4pm in December.
But winter is beautiful and I say, if it's going to be cold it should snow. Who wants to look at brown, dead grass. Give me lots of white and beautiful snow.

Just about January the Bob houses (little ice fishing huts) begin to show up at the lake and once it's safe, out they go. 4-Wheelers, trucks and snowmobiles follow and some nice person clears a spot to ice skate.

Winter is beautiful with it's bleakness, and it's whiteness, even the cold. Sometimes it takes a special eye to see that. :)
I sure do miss snow sometimes, I haven't seen any in at least 12 years, these are some great shots you captured.
